China thinks that we are going to “hold them” for us to use them in our companies moving over there like we once did with Russia. We just want to be able to trade with them. The title means that China is trying to keep everything for itself. I agree with the author when he says that China is on edge. They don’t understand what we are doing this all for. We are only trying to trade with countries. On the other hand, I don’t agree with the author when it comes to the same thing; trade. China is one of the biggest and fastest growing countries in the world. If they are limited on supply like things then I understand why they don’t want to trade.

Outsourcing
Outsourcing means to purchase goods, or subcontract services from an outside supplier or source. There are many small and big companies that outsource to off-shore destinations like India, China, Philippines, and Russia. A few companies that outsource are IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Prudential, ATT Wireless, and Dell Computer Support.
I personally don’t think that china and India are under-hyped. They are growing by the millions! These giants are being hyped more and more every day. Especially because of the American businesses moving there; with their communications, factories, and for some even head-quarters. This isn’t even including the Chinese and Indian businesses that are already there. India and China effect us here when they move our big businesses there. I dont think that they realize that it may be creating jobs over seas but in America its leaving us with no jobs and a growing economy problem.

Why Should We Care?
1. "Who cares how many people are in India. Why should I care?" Should we care? - We should care because they are some of the most successful economies in the world; they also hold most of the Earth’s population.
2.
"It's wrong for governments to force families to have small families." Agree? – Yes I think it’s wrong. It’s your choice whether or not you should have a big family. There could though be a situation where I would agree with the government on small families. If they were having trouble with having enough food or shelter or something like that then I think it would make sense to tell people to have small families so that the country doesn’t get “destroyed”. Also, it could someday limit what is supposedly Earth’s “infinite” resources.
Their growing population will someday limit Earth’s infinite resources causing chaos on Earth.
2. Of Earth’s resources which three do we need the most? What would happen if we didn’t have these resources?
Growth:
1. The total number of people on the planet and where we are seeing the biggest growth rate increase.
2. What country is growing in population size the most?
Density:
1. The country with the most people in it.
2. Is North or South America more populated?
Cities:
1. It shows the city lights from around the world. Using this to predict how many people will live in cities by 2050.
2. Name a country where you don’t see any city lights.
Water:
1. Water covers more than 70% of the world; it’s all about water availability.
2. Which countries’ have an “unlimited” amount of water?
Air:
1. Kilos of carbon on Earth.
2. What country has almost no carbon in its atmosphere?
Climate:
1. The change in climate all over the world.
2. What country in the northern hemisphere is warmer than normal?
Forests:
1. Original and modified forests in the world:
2. Where is the Amazon Rain Forest?
Land:
1. The parts of Earth that have been altered in a way.
2. Is Europe almost fully transformed?
Habitats:
1. Ocean temperatures effected by humans.
2. Name all of the oceans.

The vision for peace between Israel and Palestine is fading and for a variety of reasons. Most importantly, it's the lack of trust between the two countries. Israel and Palestine are past the point of no return. The conflict has been going on for more than 60 years, and there's no end in sight. The Israelis are using the time to their advantage to build more settlements. The Palestinians are reacting to the ongoing settlements as a reason not to continue with negotiations. On Saturday, the Palestinian National Council will decide whether or not they'll continue with Israeli peace negotiations. They've been fighting for so long; I don't think there's going to be peace. They kill each other, destroy homes, and don’t listen to anyone. I think that this story was fairly neutral but I also do not think that it was the whole story. I did not learn too much from this article. I read another article that did “choose a side”. It said that “the conflict was one-sided, with Palestinians attacking Israel, and the Israeli army merely responding to this aggression. Our findings suggest that the situation is more balanced than that.” These people obviously were on the Israeli side.

Sunni or Shiite
Islam is considered to be one of the largest religions practiced in the world. The schism developed after the death of the Prophet Muhammad. Iraq and Iran are majority Shiite nations while the rest of the Muslim world is mostly Sunni. It’s a difference in their fundamental religious beliefs. The Sunni are more radical than the Shia. Sunni and Shiite Muslims are sects of the Islam religion which was established by the Prophet Mohammad with the division between the two sects occurring right after the death of the prophet. Sunni Muslims believe that their leaders are those that are voted by the members of the Islam communities based on their capability to fulfill the required tasks. Shiite Muslims believe that their leaders must be those who are direct descendants of the Prophet Mohammad who had been elected by Allah to serve as the first leader of the Islam faith. Sunni Muslims believe that the Mahdi or the “Rightfully Guided One” is yet to come to Earth and make his presence felt. Shiite Muslims believe that the Mahdi is already here and is just waiting for the right time for him to make his reappearance. The Shi’ites accept laws only from Mohammed and the Koran. There are essentially no differences in ritual between Shi’ite and Sunni. Many Sunni believe Shi’ites are not real Muslims. The Sunnis didn’t look for saintliness in their leaders, but strong political abilities. They shaped laws based on the words of Mohammed and the three “righteous caliphs”. I don't think that I, as a student, need to know the difference between them. If you work with them or are studying them then I think it is.

Air Travel Before And After
On September 11, 2001 one of the worst disasters in United States history happened; two planes crashed into the World trade Centers. Before that there was already a weakening economy; but after that air travel completely changed. At the begging of 2001 America had over six million people flying in, out, and around the country. When everyone learned the cause of their collapse, that being terrorists, no one wanted to fly. We went from six million to less than four million within one year. The cause of not many people flying took a toll on many airlines. Some airlines filed for bankruptcy, and others laid workers off. This reveled the terrorists’ whole plan. To not only kill and hurt people, but to rip us by taking jobs away. Now you are not allowed to bring almost anything on the plane with you. You can’t bring things like gel, sports equipment, and any sharp objects. Some people won’t travel because of this. Pilots doors used open from the outside of the cockpit, but now only the pilot can open the door from the inside of the cockpit. After 9/11 the people from United States was down -2%. Most North American Airlines reduced capacity and staffing almost immediately. There were 80,000 layoffs by US Airlines alone. The money lost after 9/11 was estimated to be 7 million or more. Many companies filed for bankruptcy. Increased security measures and uncertainty about associated passenger delays affect business travelers most. Increased security costs and impacts on aircraft turn-around times and utilization. Some people suggest that 9/11 didn’t have an effect on the world or our economy. They think that the economy was already declining and that even if 9/11 never happened the economy still would have declined. The terror attacks of September 11, 2001 had an immediate and substantial impact on international travel worldwide. The attacks induced substitution away from air travel generally and caused a shift in the preferences of travelers for particular destinations. The United States in particular experienced an immediate and precipitous drop in arrivals of international visitors, particularly from those flying in from overseas. The initial drop in arrivals immediately following 9/11 in part reflected widespread concern about the safety of international air travel. Economic factors most likely also played a role in reducing travel to the United States in the aftermath of 9/11. Between 2001 and 2002, for example, the global economy experienced a recession that reduced demand for air travel generally. In addition to safety concerns and deteriorating economic conditions, the perception that U.S. visa policy became more restrictive in the wake of 9/11 may also have negatively impacted arrivals. Such perceptions prompted concern within the travel industry that the United States was becoming a less attractive travel destination and was damaging its image abroad (Alden, 2008). Although visa policy itself did not considerably change after 9/11, the security screening procedures that are part of the visa application process were intensified. After the 9/11 attacks certain administrative procedures related to visa insurance and entry at the U.S. border were part of an enhanced travel security program. While travelers from countries were exposed to the same screening procedures upon entry to the United States, some travelers from some countries were subject to an additional layer of processing. Taken together, the fact that travelers are released from the visa insurance procedures and are not exposed to the additional entry processing that some arrivals undergo introduces inter-country variation that can be used to test whether the new procedures actually reduced travel to the United States. It took years for America to recover from this. Even now people are afraid to fly, and we are still recovering from the twin towers catastrophe. Security has also drastically changed over the past few years. Guards do full x-ray analysis are more careful than ever before. Passenger confidence in airline security is also important. Absence of new terrorism and stabilizing military situation and increased security measures and uncertainty about associated passenger delays affect business travelers most. This is sometimes caused because of a terrorist scare. Also the cost of flying has gone up since then. This is because of security costs. I still am not sure if it was 9/11 that caused people to stop flying. After all the economy was the worst it’s been in a while then.
